FLOW Final Event: Stakeholder Forum & Results Exploitation Workshop
Since January 2023, FLOW has brought together leading research institutions and industry partners to develop new prediction methods for the energy production and loads of today’s very large wind energy systems. On 2 December 2026, we will present the project’s key results, from validation data and engineering models to open tools and training modules, and discuss with you how they can be used in practice.
Why Attend?
Wind turbines and wind farms are growing faster than the models used to design and operate them. FLOW was set up to close that gap. This event is your opportunity to:
-
Get first-hand access to the final results. Hear directly from the researchers and engineers who developed FLOW’s experimental and high-fidelity validation data, engineering models and tools.
-
See how the models perform against industry data. Leading turbine manufacturers Vestas and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy will present the results of FLOW’s large-scale OEM validation.
-
Discover tools and training you can use. Learn about the FLOW tools and training modules developed to help researchers and professionals apply the project’s results.
-
Shape what comes next. In an interactive feedback workshop, you can tell us what is most useful, what is still missing, where standardisation is needed and which directions future research should take.
-
Connect with the wind energy community. Meet researchers, OEMs, developers and other stakeholders from across Europe, and build connections for future collaboration.
Who should attend?
The event is aimed at anyone working on the design, planning, operation or financing of wind energy systems, including:
-
Wind turbine manufacturers and component suppliers
-
Wind farm developers, owners and operators
-
Engineering and consultancy companies
-
Researchers and academics in wind energy and atmospheric science
-
Standardisation bodies, certification bodies and policymakers
-
Students and early-career professionals
